History
St. Mark Catholic School was founded over 50 years ago by the Sister's of Notre Dame. St. Mark finds its validity in the mission of the Roman Catholic Church; it is based on an educational philosophy in which faith, culture, and life are brought into harmony. Our mission is to give each student an education which embraces the total person, forming students with good mental, moral, ethical, physical and spiritual habits.
Specialties
St. Mark, accredited by the Commonwealth of Kentucky, offers a complete primary curriculum serving the educational and spiritual needs of not only the Catholic community but also children of many faiths. This religious diversity brings great life and spirit to St. Mark School. Probably our greatest strength, though, is the involvement of the family in the education process. The dedication and commitment of so many parents, who give freely of their time and talent, are the hallmarks of our success. St. Mark graduates have gone on to academically excel in their continuing education due to the scholastic foundation that was formed here. If you would like to see the children's faith in action, please come to a School Mass on any Friday at 10:45 a.m. during the school year. Classes take turns preparing the liturgy, and our Pastor Father Tom Farrell, prepares homilies that involve the children in reflection on the readings for the day. Call and schedule a visit soon!
