Central Kentucky Federal Savings Bank in Danville, Ky., is a bank operated by the CKF Bancorp, a publicly held company listed since 2005 on the Over-the-Counter Bulletin Board under the symbol CKFB. The bank was formed in 1886 as a Kentucky-chartered mutual building and loan association. It converted to a federal mutual savings and loan association in 1969 and to a stock form in 1994, when it adopted its present name. The bank operates through full-service offices in Danville and Lancaster, Ky. and a loan production office in Nicholasville, Ky. It offers a full range of financial services including passbook savings, money market deposit accounts, savings certificates, individual retirement accounts, commercial checking, first and second mortgage loans, home improvement loans, home equity loans, auto loans, travelers checks, direct deposit, safe deposit boxes, notary service, automatic teller and telephone banking. The company had assets of approximately $160 million in 2005. The bank and the company s executive offices are at the Danville location.
