I always stop here when I'm Lexington. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Bought pattern & fabric to make a rag quilt they had on display. Love watching them work on their Bernina long arm.

They have changed locations. The new location is better for their classes. The selection of fabric is okay. Prices are on the high side. The set up of the new store leaves something to be desired....

HistoryBirdsong was created by Stella as a place for quilters in Scott County to buy supplies and gather. The shop grew by leaps and bounds and in 2017 Stella decided to retire to spend more time with family. Shannon purchased the store and moved it to its current location, which is 6 times bigger than when the store opened! We now have more than 4000 bolts of fabric and many other sewing supplies. We also host many classes and events, including bringing in national educators.SpecialtiesBirdsong is a locally owned and operated quilt store in Georgetown, KY. Whether you are looking for fabric for a specific project, to expand your stash, to get started in quilting, for a new machine, or for expert tips, we're the store for you! We have many classes and events, open sit & sews, and private lessons for any level of sewing. We carry Brother and Handiquilter machines and can help you to find the perfect machine for your needs. We can also quilt your completed quilt on one of our long-arm quilters or fix most sewing and quilting machines in-shop. Give us a call or stop in for more information.
