Nelson County High School serves more than 1,500 students in grades 9 through 12. The school provides a range of technical courses, including automotive technology, cabinet making, cosmetology, culinary arts, and electronics and computer science with robotics. It also offers courses, such as welding, graphic arts and machine trades. Nelson County High School conducts classes in engineering and design, health science, and theater and visual arts. The school offers nursing programs that provide students with clinical experience in specialty areas, including maternal and child care, mental health and emergency nursing. It provides various extracurricular activities and clubs, including the National Honor Society, marching band, and book, computer, greenhouse, interact, science, photography and quilt clubs. Located in Bardstown, Ky., Nelson County High School is a part of the Nelson County School District.
