About Kinetic Tech Scott W. Pierce, DVM, was the second of five siblings raised in Maryville, Missouri, a small college town and farming community. Scott was influenced by his father, an active mixed animal veterinarian in Missouri for 47 years, and upon graduating from Northwest Missouri State University, Scott Pierce enrolled in the University Of Missouri College Of Veterinary Medicine. Following his graduation in 1983, he practiced in Hot Springs, Arkansas and Lee's Summit, Missouri. Dr. Pierce joined Rood and Riddle PSC, Lexington, Kentucky in 1985 as an associate veterinarian. In 1989, he became a partner in Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital, one of the four original members in the firm, where he continues in active practice. He has written numerous equine articles based in clinical research and studies. One of his articles was recently published in Hyaluronan: Structure, Metabolism, Biological Activities, Therapeutic Applications, Volume II. As a co-author, Dr. Pierce also received the 2006 "Clinical Evidence Literary Award" from the Equine Veterinary Journal in England. In addition, Dr. Pierce has presented numerous papers at meetings of the American Association of Equine Practitioners. He is a member of the American and Kentucky Veterinary Medical Associations ; the American and Kentucky Associations of Equine Practitioners ; the American Association for the Advancement of Science ; and the Royal College of the Veterinary Surgeons. Stuart L. Pierce, DVM, much like his brother, was influenced by his father. After graduating from Northwest Missouri State University, Stuart entered the University Of Missouri College Of Veterinary Medicine. He received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1992. Upon graduation he relocated to Kentucky where he was an associate veterinarian south of Lexington. Dr. Pierce currently owns a multi-doctor practice with its offices in Lexington. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, American Association of Bovine Practitioners and the Kentucky Veterinary Medical Association. He and his brother Scott W. Pierce are partners and owners of Kinetic Technologies, LLC. Kinetic Technologies' is a privately owned animal health supplement manufacturer that is headquartered in Lexington, KY. Founded in 1999 to provide animal health nutritional supplements, the company has since evolved into a well-rounded organization providing products for the veterinary, animal health and human health industries.
