Established in 1972, Kentucky Country Day School is an independent, coeducational facility that is spread over and area of more than 85 acres. It offers educational and cocurricular services for over 900 children in kindergarten through grade 12. Kentucky Country Day School serves the Hardin, Jefferson, Oldham and Shelby counties in Kentucky, as well as Clark and Floyd counties in Indiana. It offers the Laptop Program, which prepares students in grades 9 through 12 for university life and provides e-mail, document transfer and Internet access opportunities. The school conducts special topic classes that focus on British, American and world literatures. Additionally, it offers advanced placement courses, including English, calculus, chemistry, physics, psychology, biology, French, European history and studio art. Kentucky Country Day School is located in Louisville, Ky.
