The Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana is a nonprofit organization that serves more than 2,000 troops in over 60 counties in western Kentucky and southern Indiana. The organization offers age-appropriate programs for girls in kindergarten through grade 12. Its scouting program for girls between the ages of 15 and 17 includes various adventure activities, such as backpacking, canoeing, rafting and cycling. Located in Louisville, Ky., the Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana s Howdy Brownies camp for children between the ages of 6 and 8 includes hiking, bike trips and overnight camping activities. The organization is a part of the Girl Scouts of the United States of America, which is a youth organization for girls in the United States and American girls living abroad.
