The City of Florence Fire EMS Department, established in 1936, is a highly regarded all-hazards organization serving the City of Florence and the surrounding Florence Fire Protection District. With a team of 72 career personnel, including cross-trained firefighters and EMTs, they respond to over 9400 calls for service annually, striving to arrive within 6 minutes of notification. In addition to emergency operations, they provide community risk reduction, fire and life safety inspections, public education, and maintain a close working relationship with the Northern Kentucky Cincinnati International Airport.
