History
Originally coined the Warren County Tourist Commission under the leadership of Horace Strader, the quasi-governmental marketing organization for the city of Bowling Green and the County of Warren became known as the Bowling Green Area Convention & Visitors Bureau in 1999. Gary P. West was at the helm as Executive Director and the Visitor's Center is now named in his honor. The current Director is Sherry Murphy who has been with the Bureau since 2018. Other full-time staff include a Marketing Director, Communication Director, Sports Sales Director, and Group Sales & Services Director.

With first-class museums, rich heritage, abundant recreational opportunities, and incredibly helpful residents, we welcome travelers to the Bluegrass State's third-largest city! We're geared for fun! Visitors Center also features a small gift shop with souvenirs.
