Founded in 1991, The Chamber Players' dinner theatre is an altogether charming and affordable alternative to big city entertainment. "All the funny for half the money!" The playhouse occupies the former United Presbyterian Church, built in 1850 in the hometown of "Spoon River Anthology" author Edgar Lee Masters and one block from the Mary Bridget McAuliffe Walker Art Gallery.
