History
Ten Thousand Villages Overland Park is proud to serve the Kansas City Metro Area as a fully-committed fair trade retailer and member of the Fair Trade Federation! #VillagesOP is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization operated by a Board of local residents. We educate volunteers, customers, and the community about fair trade artisans and farmers, their cultures, and the opportunities and challenges they face. Following years of education and fundraising by a small group of passionate volunteers, #VillagesOP opened to the public in June 2000 in Historic Downtown Overland Park, Kansas. Many of those founding volunteers are still working to support our mission, helping make our exceptional store what it is today.
