TAME (Texas Alliance for Minorities in Engineering) is a non-profit organization that aims to create equitable experiences for students from underrepresented groups in order to explore futures in engineering. Through statewide programming, TAME fosters a sense of belonging, equips students with knowledge and skills, and provides intergenerational support at no cost to students.
TAME's Trailblazer program brings STEM opportunities to students across Texas, reaching communities that other programs may not be able to access. By training teachers to identify STEM skills in students, focusing on recruitment of female and underrepresented minority students, and showcasing academic and career opportunities in STEM fields, TAME is dedicated to launching the next generation of diverse Texas engineers.
