HistoryHillside Feed was started in about 1949. Our family purchased the business in 1959 and it has operated as a family-owned store ever since. We started as a store for rural and suburban gardeners and animal owners. Our present location is now well within the main metro area of Wichita, so we now focus on smaller home gardens and smaller pets. While we do not sell live animals, we do have many of the supplies and feeds necessary for their well-being.SpecialtiesWe offer a very large variety of heirloom, ethnic and specialty seeds for vegetables. Most are certified non-GMO and many are also organically produced. You can find a large variety of starter plants and perennial plants in season, plus many organic soils, pest controls and fertilizers, plus the assistance of experienced gardeners and greenhouse growers. We also have high quality feeds for your companion pets, including Taste of the Wild, Nutri-Source, and Victor dog and cat foods.
