During this time, Matt's mother, 87 year old Betty Graham, decided to order a medical alert system. The box arrived in a timely manner, and when she opened it, she was surprised to find the device, some cords, and a sheet of confusing instructions. Matt and Cindy noticed instantly what was missing: customer service and a personal touch. The idea for Home Buddy wasn't a flash-in-the-pan concept to get rich overnight.
