Landon Middle School serves more than 480 students of grade six through eight. The school's extracurricular activities include science fair, academic night, history day, geography bee, model united nations, spelling bee, plays and social activities. It offers athletic programs that include basketball, tennis, football, volleyball and track. The school was founded in 1963 as a junior high school. Its academic program includes American studies, science, language arts, reading and mathematics. The school provides various elective courses in art, technology education, computers, lifetime physical education, guitar, and family and consumer science. It additionally offers academic support programs, such as special education, guidance, health services and English as a second language programs.
