Kansas State University is one of the top public education institutions in the United States. Founded in 1858, it enrolls more than 23, 000 students from all over the country. The university consists of several undergraduate colleges, as well as a graduate school. Its graduate school offers more than 60 masters degrees, over 40 doctoral degrees and around 20 graduate certificates in multiple disciplines. Kansas State University features agriculture, arts and sciences, business administration, education, engineering, human ecology, architecture, planning and design, and technology and aviation colleges. It also has a College of Veterinary Medicine, which comprises of various departments, such as anatomy and physiology, clinical sciences, diagnostic medicine and pathobiology. In addition, Kansas State University has approximately 400 student organizations and around 20 club sports for the recreational and sports activities. The university s main campus is located in Manhattan, Kan., and covers an area of more than 660 acres.
