History
In 2000, following two years of extensive research on both a state and national level KBTI became officially incorporated in Wichita, Kansas as a 501(c)(3) private non for profit organization. The mission was and remains committed to providing increased service delivery outcomes to the blind and low vision as an innovative centralized Braille transcription and training institute. The added goal of the Institute is to provide all services through cost effective measures, and assure complete accuracy by utilizing only nationally certified personnel, blind and sighted.
