Established in 1968 by two entrepreneurs, Hillsboro Industries product line began with springtooth harrows and multiple drill hitches, and soon grew to encompass flatbed trailers and hydraulic-dump grain trailers. In 1978, Great Plains Ventures purchased the company. The acquisition opened the door to expansion of the company s facilities and product lines, facilitating continued technological developments. In 2005, Flint Hills Industries purchased the assets of Hillsboro Industries from Great Plains Ventures. The company continues to operate as Hillsboro Industries, remaining one of the leading manufacturers of aluminum trailers, light truck beds and flatbed trailers. The company produces a variety of products, including commercial products, such as Endura car haulers, Endura cargo trailers, Tuffloader utility trailers, 700 Series flatbed trailers, aluminum truck beds, steel truck beds and accessories; and farm and ranch products, such as Endura horse trailers, Endura stock trailers, steel stock trailers, aluminum truck beds, steel truck bed and accessories. Hillsboro Industries is headquartered in Hillsboro, Kan.
