History
I have always loved coffee. Early in my career, business travels took me to San Francisco and I realized they had much better coffee there then we had here. I began to look into it and found a whole new exciting world. I talked to anyone in the coffee industry I could find. I cupped coffee with the legendary Erna Knutsen. Another legend, Alfred Peet taught me how to roast. I had a small Roastery in Clifton square but lost my lease in August 2015. One of my customers who missed my coffee, offered to let me sell it out of his warehouse, a whimsical, eclectic, orange-colored space called the Ffarquhar, on South St. Francis street. I started again in September 2016. Every Friday morning, I post on my Facebook group page Fresh Roast Coffee Company, what I am roasting and it's associated flavor/aroma profile. You can order in advance and reserve a pound or two or more, or just stop by for a freshly brewed sample.
