Bishop Miege High School, established in 1985, enrolls young men and women from throughout Johnson County and Wyandotte County, Kan., and Kansas City, Mo. The high school educates more than 800 students every year in grades nine through 12. Located in Shawnee Mission, Kan., Bishop Miege High School offers classes in a wide range of subjects, including foreign languages, science, religion, economics, statistics, world history and geography. In addition, the school provides a variety of fine art classes, band, music and choir classes. It organizes various sporting activities, including football, basketball, baseball, volleyball, track and cross country. The guidance department of the school offers various parent programs, including test interpretations, financial aid seminars, career day, eighth grade applications, and scholarship applications and recommendations.
