History
Founded in 1982, Advent has grown quickly along with the population in southern Johnson county. Like our region, we are mostly young families with children, and are experiencing a growing population of young professionals and active seniors, as the area diversifies.
Specialties
Advent Lutheran Church is a comfortable community of faith that worships Jesus Christ within the historic tradition of Lutheranism. This means we follow the church year and worship order, and are uniquely positioned within Christianity by our belief that we are saved by grace, not works. Our primary outreach is to children and families in our region, and the care of all those who God loves. You are invited to attend our Sunday worship service at 8:30 or 10 a.m. for good preaching, good fellowship and educational opportunities for all ages.
