Operational for more than 100 years, the College of Dentistry is an integral part of the University of Iowa. It enrolls more than 250 students in its doctor of dental surgery program and is also the only provider of predoctoral dental education in Iowa. Its basic courses include gross anatomy, general histology, oral histology and embryology, microbiology, pathology, pharmacology, physiology and biochemistry. The college also offers study of anesthesia and pain control, facial growth and development and cariology. College of Dentistry also offers master and doctorate programs. Its student research program is assisted by the laboratory team and a dentist scientist. College of Dentistry is located in Iowa City, Iowa.
