Substance Abuse Services Center, also known as SASC, is a nonprofit agency that is governed by a volunteer board of directors. It is licensed by the Iowa Department of Public Health. The agency offers prevention and treatment services to individuals with problems related to alcohol, drugs, gambling and other addictive behaviors. Its programs and services include assessments of addictive disorders, early intervention, on-campus counseling for teens, and community outreach and educational programs. It also offers individual, family and group counseling services. Substance Abuse Services Center operates a gambling treatment program that serves citizens in the counties of Clayton, Clinton, Delaware, Jackson and Howard in Iowa. The center is located in Dubuque, Iowa.
