Sky Ranch for Boys, founded in 1960 by Rev. Don Murray, aimed to rehabilitate troubled boys who had been deemed incorrigible by the courts. With the support of the South Dakota liquor industry, the ranch provided a second chance to thousands of boys, helping them gain academic progress and successfully complete the program.
Although the actual ranch closed in 2011, Sky Ranch Behavioral Services, a licensed nonprofit organization, continues to serve the youth in the Siouxland area, inspiring change and growth in their physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
