The Masonic Temple, located on College Street, is a stately building with decades of history governed by of one of Iowa City's oldest societies since 1914. The Masonic Temple hosts regular meetings of the Freemasons, who are constantly working to raise funds and volunteer to help make life better for everyone. Monies raised have helped the following charities: the free lunch program at Wesley House, the Hope Lodge Cancer Society, the Cloth a Child program, the Behavior Intervention Program, the Salvation Army and many others.
