Louisa County Board of Supervisors is governed by the Louisa County in Iowa. Louisa County s engineer and road department is responsible for the maintenance of more than 568 miles of paved, gravel and dirt roads and over 120 bridges. The county also has a public health department that works to provide a range of nursing care services, as well as administer several educational programs. It manages a sheriff department that is responsible for providing law enforcement and crime prevention services and conducts investigations for thefts, vandalisms, assaults, illegal drug activities and criminal allegations. In addition, Louisa County maintains zoning and emergency management departments.
