Jim grew up in eastern Iowa by Dubuque. He went to Loras College and then attending medical school in Des Moines at the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences (now DMU). He received his Masters Degree at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion.JIm is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Iowa Physician Assistant Society, Fellowship of Christian Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Pediatrics and is certified by the National Commission of Physician Assistants.In 2001, he was honored as the Iowa Physician Assistant of the Year.Jim has been treating family practice patients at the Anthon Family Medicine since 1987 and also practices at Correctionville Family Medicine.His interests outside work include playing guitar and singing in the Saint Joseph Church choir in Anthon, spending time with children and grandchildren, camping, golf, community involvement and riding his motorcycle.
