History
Huney-Vaughn Court Reporters, Ltd. (HV) was originally founded in 1959 by Harold Guy. Guy Reporting Service became Guy and Johnson in 1964 when Roger Johnson joined the firm. George Huney and Mervin Vaughn joined the Guy and Johnson firm and in 1974 the firm became known as Johnson, Huney and Vaughn as Mr. Guy retired at this point. Roger Johnson left the firm in 1986 for health reasons and it then became known as Huney-Vaughn Court Reporters, Ltd. At this point the firm expanded with additional offices in the Davenport/Quad Cities and Council Bluffs/Omaha areas. Huney-Vaughn has established relationships with other court reporters around the state as affiliates, allowing us to be able to cover work assignments statewide. In 2015 George Huney retired and the firm is now managed by Mervin Vaughn and his daughter Andrea Kreutz, whose specialty is IT services.
