The funds that members deposit into savings are the funds that are used to make loans to the membership. The interest that borrowers pay is the income used to pay savings dividends and cover operating expenses. That's the People Helping People concept at work for you. Financial Plus Credit Union was chartered in 1929, as Meredith Credit Union. We changed our name to Financial Plus in 1992. We received a community charter in 1997. Membership in Financial Plus Credit Union is open to people who share the following common bonds: *Community members who work or reside in several central Iowa counties.
