Emergency Shelter Care is a program that includes services for nearly 15 children and adolescents through a residential facility. It is administered by the American Home Finding Association, which is a private, nonprofit family service agency that offers a range of services for individuals and families. Established in 1899, the American Home Finding Association administers various adoption, family counseling, day care and foster grandparent programs. It provides the Women, Infants & Children Program, which includes supplemental food, nutritional education and health care referral services. The agency also maintains the Teen Health Center, which offers primary and preventative health services to improve the physical and emotional health of adolescents.
