Des Moines Area Community College
Founded in 1993, DMACC Newton Campus is owned and operated by Des Moines Area Community College, which is a community college that has campuses in Ankeny, Boone, Carroll and Des Moines, Iowa. The campus is housed in a 105,000-square-foot building that includes 4 state-of-the-art computer classrooms, an open computer lab, student lounge, 325-seat auditorium and DMACC's Knowledge Knook Bookstore, and Robert H. Isense Interactive Learning Center. The campus offers more than 75 career programs in various fields, such as computing, nursing and vocational education. It has partnership with three universities in Iowa that include the University of Iowa, University of Northern Iowa and Iowa State University. Des Moines Area Community College serves more than 70,000 students. The college offers courses in various subjects, including accounting, automotive technology, agriculture, anthropology, architecture and aviation. Its business resources include employee training, skill development, consulting services and funding options. In addition, Des Moines Area Community College offers distance learning courses for homebound students.
