Sauk Valley Community College
Located Dixon, Ill., Sauk Valley Community College has been operational for more than 55 years. A part of Public Community College District, it enrolls more than 2,500 undergraduate and graduate students annually. The college is approved by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools. It offers majors in business administration, accounting, computer information systems, economics, humanities, early childhood, elementary and secondary education, and fine and liberal arts. The college also offers courses in English and creative writing, natural sciences, astronomy, mathematics, physical education, world history, geography, geology, sociology, anthropology, and criminal justice. Additionally, it provides vocational, technical, adult and continuing education in the areas of electronics, mechanical designing, manufacturing technology; heating, ventilation and air conditioning; quality control, emergency medical technician, radiologic technology and nurse assistant.
