The Bettendorf Fire, Rescue & Emergency Services Department offers a variety of fire prevention, suppression and emergency medical services for the protection of life and property. The department maintains a work force of more than 40 employees, including firefighters and a fire chief. The Bettendorf Fire, Rescue & Emergency Services Department responds to over 2,500 emergency calls annually. The department has a fleet of various apparatus, including engines, rescue squads and boats and administrative vehicles. Established in 1908, the Bettendorf Fire, Rescue & Emergency Services Department s training center provides a range of emergency and rescue training courses.
