HistoryAlliant Credit Union was formed in 1933 by seven employees of the local utility company in Dubuque, Iowa. It was created with the hopes of helping fellow co-workers with their finances during the Depression. The employees elected a treasurer; that treasurer accepted deposits in his desk drawer before work hours and during breaks and lunches. That was until 1958 when eventually the Credit Union grew so much that a part-time employee had to be hired. Since then, your Credit Union has continued to grow into the full-service financial institution it is today! For over 80 years, we've remained safe and secure.
