Operational for more than 30 years, Union Hospital's Family Medicine Residency is a medical facility that offers three-year graduation programs for students in the fields of family medicine. It offers a variety of educational programs in the areas of obstetrics, pediatrics, pesychology, general surgery, hospital services, and inpatient and outpatient care. The center organizes seminars on several topics, such as international health, demographics, cultural competency and language. It provides the Rural Training Track program, which is a hands-on curriculum for future rural health providers and helps to incorporate computer applications and communications technology to support rural practices. The center is a part of Union Hospital Health Group, which was established in1892 and is a nonprofit health care system that operates several hospitals throughout Indiana. Union Hospital's Family Medicine Residency is located in Terre Haute, Ind.
