The City of Terre Haute Department of Engineering is operated by the government of City of Terre Haute in Indiana. The department is responsible for many different areas, including asset management, building inspection division, capital projects, planning division and project inspection division. It is involved in managing all City assets such as roads, pavements, sewers, drainage, trees and more. Besides inspecting new/existing structures and managing public service projects, it also collaborates with other government departments, including Departments of Park and Recreation, Redevelopment, Streets and Transit, to ensure proper functioning of the City. The City of Terre Haute is the winner of Indiana's 2010 Community of the Year award from the Indiana Chamber of Commerce.
