In 1902, West Baden National Bank was located inside the West Baden Springs dome hotel. French Lick State Bank was established in 1903. Arnold F. Habig acquired these two banks in separate transactions in 1958. These banks merged in 1959 and became Valley National Bank with assets of more than $5 million dollars. In 1979 it changed its charter to a state bank and became Springs Valley Bank & Trust Company. Springs Valley Bank is located in French Lick, Ind. and is a full service financial banking institute. The bank offers personal checking and savings, online bill payment, telephone banking, cash management, apartment financing and a variety of other financial services for individuals and businesses.
