Shigs in Pit started as a competition BBQ team composed of Mad Anthony owners, Todd Grantham and Jeff Neels along with their friend Stefan Kelley, a networks services manager for Logikos. Within a few short years the team amassed Eleven Kansas City Barbecue Society Grand Championships, Five Reserve Grand Championships and numerous other awards for their smoked meats. In 2012, Grantham and Neels (with the blessing of Kelley) along with Mad Anthony Brewing Company partner Blaine Stuckey opened a restaurant and catering business with their award-winning recipes at the corner of Fairfield and Taylor in Fort Wayne. Shigs in Pit Barbeque is a proud sister company to Mad Anthony Brewing Company.
