Catholic Charities
Established in 1922, Catholic Charities is a state-licensed social services agency serving people in the Indiana counties of Adams, Huntington, Marshall, Noble, Wabash, Wells, Allen, Dekalb and Elkhart. As a diocese of Fort Wayne, the organization provides help to individuals, families, civic groups, widows and orphans. Based in Fort Wayne, Ind., the community offers an array of services, such as assisting people with difficult circumstances; economic hardships; relationship issues; providing opportunities for employment and promotion of well being. It also offers adoption services, foster care/kinship care and pregnancy services. Additional services comprise community welfare, food pantries, refugee resettlement, immigration and older adult services.
