Community Action Program of Evansville is a nonprofit organization that provides Head Start, Early Head Start and daycare programs to residents in Evansville, Ind. The CAPE Head Start Learning Center provides intergenerational learning opportunities for Head Start families. Volunteers provide education, as well as emergency assistance to families. The organizations volunteers are trained for live and learn classes, computer assistance, resume help, GED, tutoring, basic math/reading and after school homework assistance. Community Action Program of Evansville is a part of The Indiana Community Action Association, a nonprofit corporation that provides educational programs, training programs, information exchange, advocacy and other support services to residents throughout Indiana.
