Dr. Maram Said is board-certified OB/GYN who believes in patient focused holistic care built on trust and evidence-based medicine. She is a native of Racine, Wisconsin and moved to Carmel, Indiana in 2011. She received her medical degree from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences. She subsequently trained at St. Vincent Indianapolis for her Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency and then moved to St Vincent Carmel Women's Health Alliance where she has been practicing since 2015. Dr. Said provides comprehensive medical and surgical care from adolescent gynecology, contraceptive management, preconception counseling, routine and high-risk obstetrics, as well as menopausal care. She is a member of the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons and sits on the Robotic Council at St Vincent Carmel. She has a practice focus on minimally invasive and robotic surgery including outpatient hysterectomy and complex pelvic surgery. Some of her additional professional interests include high-risk pregnancies, abnormal uterine bleeding, fertility sparing myomectomy, management of abnormal pap smears, pelvic pain, and preventative health care for women. She has lectured at the national level at the ACOG Annual Clinical Meeting and her work has been presented at the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists Barcelona meeting. She engages in clinical teaching as a Clinical Assistant Professor for Marian University and for the St. Vincent OB GYN Residency program. Dr. Said enjoys spending time with her family and two sons, Adam and Zak, cooking, volunteering in the local community, and international travel. She speaks English, Arabic, and Spanish. She is currently accepting new patients into her practice.
