Kosciusko Rural Electric Membership Corporation ( KREMC ) is a member-owned corporation that supplies electric power to customers in portions of Kosciusko, Fulton, Wabash and Whitley counties in northern Indiana.KREMC was founded in 1938 and energized the home of its first customer on February 22, 1939. In 1998, KREMC formed a partnership with Touchstone Energy -- a nationwide alliance of over 600 electric cooperatives. The Touchstone Energy partnership is a way for us to expand our service by sharing ideas and advanced technologies with other cooperatives around the country. A nine-member board of directors, all of whom receive service from KREMC and are elected by the member-owners, governs our cooperative.As a member owner you have the privilege of attending the annual meeting of the corporation and voting for the board of directors. There are nine members on the board of directors. Three directors are elected from the membership each spring at the annual meeting. Reports of the progress and future plans of KREMC from the Board President, Secretary-Treasurer and CEO, plus family entertainment and prize drawings are included in the Saturday morning event.
