History
In late 1950's the Laughner family, a longtime Indianapolis restauranteurs,decided to tap into the booming drive-in business.They sold the business to Harold Phillips in 1964.Rechristened Harold's Steer-In,the restaurant became know for the Twin Steer burger.Harold operated the restaurant for 37 years. In 2008 the Kehrer family purchased the restaurant from Harold and changed the name to the Historic Steer-In.
