Indianapolis Fleet Services, also known as IFS, is a city division that offers vehicle acquisition, maintenance, repair and disposal services. Located in Indianapolis, the division also oversees the maintenance of several fueling sites in the city. It is a part of the Indianapolis Department of Public Works, which maintains public infrastructure and manages municipal solid waste collection. In addition, the department offers trash collection, recycling and sewer maintenance services. Its operations division is responsible for maintenance of the city infrastructure that includes streets, bridges, alleys, traffic lights, and sidewalks and curbs. The Indianapolis Department of Public Works operates through environmental services and engineering divisions.
