Founded in 1968, the Elka Child Educational Center is a day care facility that serves children between the ages of 2 and 12. It provides a range of child care and educational services. The center s curriculum includes language arts, social studies, music, science and math. The Elka Child Educational Center also offers classes in computer applications and motor skills development. It provides food and transportation services. The center maintains a child care development fund and administers a voucher program. The Elka Child Educational Center organizes field trips to fire stations, pet shops, libraries, zoos, museums and airports.
