History
Carpenter Creek Cellars began as an idea during the winter of 2011. Ed Courtright met Randy Rottler and Joe McKinney at a meeting and proposed the idea of growing grapes on his family farm between Remington and Rensselaer, IN. Randy took the idea a step further, drawing up a plan for a winery with an acre of grapes. Over the next two years, the three partners planted their vineyard (1.1 acres of Traminette) and restored Ed's 1919 horsebarn. Carpenter Creek Cellars officially opened to the public on March 23, 2013, and has been producing high-quality wines from Midwestern fruit ever since.
