Carmel United Methodist Church, established in 1848, offers various services to children and their families through ministries, including Stephen, Prayer, Tape, Counseling and Congregational Care. The church organizes Bible study classes for adults, children and youth. The Stephen Ministry Program at Carmel United Methodist Church equips laypersons to provide Christian one-on-one care to those who are experiencing all kinds of life difficulties and circumstances. The church celebrates communion in all worship services on a quarterly basis. During Lent, Holy Communion is served weekly during the 11 a.m. service. Other times of the year include Christmas Eve and Maundy Thursday. The church serves coffee, tea, juices, and doughnuts between the 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. services in the Jack King Family Life Center.
