HistoryKountry Cabinets & Home Furnishings actually got its start through Kountry Wood Products which was founded by Ola Yoder in 1998 when he started building wood products in his barn. It grew large enough to relocate to an industrial park in Nappanee, IN. Kountry Wood Products then found its niche in producing kitchen cabinetry and continued to grow. In 2008, Kountry Wood Products was recognized as one of the 50 Indiana Companies to Watch and by 2015 was producing over 1 million cabinets a year. Borkholder Furniture was a company founded in 1981 by Nappanee native, Freemon Borkholder and was building outstanding, solid-wood furniture. In 2011, Ola Yoder decided to purchase Borkholder Furniture and has truly taken it to whole other level and continue to produce the heirloom-quality furniture. In 2009, Ola decided to open a local retail store to sell their cabinetry and Borkholder Furniture.
