Aging and In-Home Services of Northeast Indiana is a private, nonprofit organization serving seniors and persons with disabilities of all ages since 1974. Its case management services provide in-home assessments to authorize funded services for senior citizens. It offers nutrition services to more than 1,000 elderly and disabled individuals and its family caregiver program assists caregivers with information, education, support groups and caregiving resources. It also has a senior community service employment program that provides a training structure to improve employment prospects. AIHS is accredited by the Council on Accreditation and is funded by the Older Americans Act, Community and Home Options to Institutional Care for the Elderly and Disabled and public and private donations. It serves the Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Huntington, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, Wells and Whitley counties in northeast Indiana and is based in Fort Wayne, Ind.
