Zeigler-Royalton Community Unit School District 188 was formed in 1962 in consolidation with the Zeigler Grade School, Zeigler High School and the Royalton School District. The district serves more than 650 students from prekindergarten through grade 12 and is located in Zeigler, Ill. It offers various sports activities, such as volleyball, basketball, wrestling, baseball, football, golf, cheerleading, cross country, and track and field. The district s academic curriculum includes English, math, science, social studies, language arts, special education, business, industrial technology, computer application, reading and physical education. It has a library media center that provides curriculum-related materials and a variety of free reading options for its students. The district operates through various departments, such as administration, food service, guidance, human resources, technology and transportation.
